KEA: The sun over Aegean
An ideal destination for the lovers of nature and genuine island atmosphere. Kea, the first island of Cyclades, is 58 km far from the port of Lavrio and promises a relaxing and fun time.
Hospitality, authenticity, beautiful beaches are just some of the characteristics of the island. Incredibly, paved paths leading to secluded bays enchant those with exploratory mood. Cool winds blows even the summer months, known since antiquity as the meltemia.

Whitewashed houses, narrow cobbled streets and arched white churches compose the image of Chora or Ioulida, the capital of the island. From Vourkari, though small village attracts tourism and is access to the lighthouse. Otzias, facing Karystos of Evia houses the monastery of the Virgin Mary, patron of the island. Quiet area is Pisses, with remarkable beaches and camping.
It is worth to mention the trails, making a total length of 36 km is a stone staircase leading to mountain and seaside villages, secluded beaches, natural landscapes and a great historical and religious sites.
Beaches: blue springs and deserted bays
The best beaches are located near Pisses. The fine sand, turquoise waters and natural shadows are their advantages. Specifically, the beach "kastelakia”, is accessible by boat or along the path.
Popular beach is the Sword in the Otzia, while the region "3 Boukes" famous for its beautiful beaches. It is worth visiting the beaches of Koundouros. There is an organized and many deserted.
Local delicacies

How to get there
From Piraeus to leave Kea dolphins, and arrive in 1 hour and 35 minutes to Port Korrisias.
Also from the port of Lavrion is one hour and a half and routes run throughout the year. (From Athens Lavrion is 1misi hour).
