Settlements of the island

Lakka: This is a summer resort that is built in the depth of a safe bay. It is Located 8.5 km northwest of Gaios. The beautiful houses with tiled roofs, the lush vegetation and the beautiful blue sea fascinate the visitor.

Loggos: It is a resort that is hidden by pine trees and olives. Because of the beautiful landscape and the crystal clear waters, the village is the first choice regarding the preferences of tourists.  In the settlement it is worth visiting the two beautiful churches of Zoodoxou Pigi and St. Nicholas. Finally, the visitors can go at the Anemoyiannis mill bay and have the chance to know a little better the tradition of the island. The settlement is located 5.5 km north of the village Gaios.

Ozias: It is a village built amphitheatricallyand it is the second-largest settlement of the island. Anyone who visits the village of Ozias, after passing the port will have the opportunity to enjoy the amazing spectacle of rock with wholes on them made by the wind. This is one of the patient works made by nature.

Antipaxoi: Antipaxoi is an island well known. It is 3 nautical miles away from Gaios and promises to surprise visitors with its beauty. This island has an area 5 sq.km where the tourists will find the most beautiful beaches of the Ionian Sea. There is white sandy beach with fine sand and crystal blue waters. Antipaxoi is an ideal place for those who need quiet and relaxing holidays.

Beaches

The Paxoi island has beaches that will charm all tourists. Those who are lovers of swimming and water sports, will choose the island correctly as a destination for their vacations. In Gaios, the tourists can enjoy the beautiful waters and beaches Gianna and Soulalaina and by boat they will be able to find the islands, St. Nicholas and Mangonisi. Specifically, in Mangonisi the visitors will find the best and closest beach. The island is connected with stones to Paxoi. In the village of Lakka, tourists will swim at the beaches Charamis and Monodendri.Those who are interested can visit the quiet coves with the wonderful clear and cool waters, their names are Arkouditsa, Orkos and Exolitharo.

In Loggos settlement the tourists can relax and enjoy the sea and the beaches Levrechio and Marmari with their golden beaches and the clear waters. This village is the centre of Paxos for water skiing and parasailing. furthermore, tourists can combine swimming with an excurcion at the beaches Glyfada and Kipos.

In Antipaxoi, tourists can visit Voutoumi and Vrika, where they will find beautiful beaches. The beautiful beaches of Antipaxoi can be visited by the tourists only by boats, fast boats and fishing boats.

Local Products

Paxoi are famous for their fresh and delicious fish, which can be accompanied with wine from Antipaxoi island. When the time comes for tourists to leave this green paradise, they can take with them the local honey and olive oil, keeping this way a little taste of Greece.

Internal Transport

Visitors in the heavenly island of Paxoi can be transported with buses that make frequent routes. In Gaios the guests will find taxis and shops that rent cars and mopeds.

How to get there

Those who want to get to Paxoi and have magical moments can take the ferry from Igoumenitsa to Gaios and 1 hour later they will reach their destination. Routes run throughout the year. Also, by boat from Corfu and from Parga. Departures are daily. By bus via Igoumenitsa or Parga from Athens. Finally by bus from Athens to Paxoi, travelers will arrive on the island at 6 hours and 30 minutes.
